The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to residents as ordered by the physician, aiming to prevent physical/mental deterioration and maintain the highest practicable level of functioning. Essential duties include assessing functional abilities, developing and implementing individualized physical therapy intervention plans, and supervising clinical services provided by assistants and aides.
Candidates must be graduates of a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program and have successfully completed required supervised fieldwork. Applicants must possess a current, unencumbered license/certification as required by law and maintain working knowledge of Physical Therapy practices and the APTA Code of Ethics.

What You’ll Do Provide evaluation and treatment for adult/geriatric residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, dietary and medical staff to deliver coordinated, holistic care Develop individualized treatment plans that honor each resident’s goals and abilities Maintain accurate documentation with adequate time built into your schedule Participate in care planning meetings and family education as needed What We’re Looking For Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current VA SLP license, CCC Passion for working with older adults Experience with IDDSI diets and dysphagia is preferred, though we can train Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care Ready to Join a Team That Truly Supports You?
