The technologist will perform and teach specialized general diagnostic radiography procedures using complex equipment, including operating and troubleshooting CT, angiographic, and MRI systems across various hospital settings. Duties also involve direct patient care, administering contrast materials, maintaining records, and participating in on-call coverage and quality assurance procedures.
Candidates must meet qualifications for either Imaging Technologist or Senior Imaging Technologist, requiring either a two-year approved program completion or a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, respectively. Current ARRT certification and an Iowa Permit to Practice for ionizing radiation equipment operation are mandatory for both levels.

The Imaging Technologist classification salary is 4, and the Senior Imaging Technologist classification salary is 5.
