The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment to perform various mammography-related diagnostic procedures, maintaining high accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This role is critical for providing outstanding patient care and efficient results, directly impacting organizational profitability and patient experience.
Candidates must complete a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current ARRT certification in Radiography, along with advanced certification in mammography or MQSA qualification. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree, two years of mammography experience, and knowledge of RIS/PACS software.
