include managing an average daily census of 5-10 patients, rounding on newborns in the nursery (no NICU/Level 2 care), handling circumcisions, and managing ED/direct pediatric admissions, with shifts averaging 10 per month.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree, be Board Certified or Eligible, and possess or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Iowa, along with the ability to work effectively as a team member.
Average daily census of 10; combination of newborn nursery and inpatient Round on unassigned newborns in Level 1 newborn nursery (no NICU or Level 2 nursery responsibilities), circumcisions, ED and direct admissions of pediatric age patients, ED consultation when requested No delivery attendance required. High risk deliveries are attended by in house NICU Tertiary hospitals located 90 miles North and South with visiting subspecialists Average 10 shifts per month with balanced weekend and holiday coverage Overnight on-call with in-house Family Practice Resident covering first call
