The graduate nurse, under the direction of an RN Preceptor, performs delegated nursing tasks based on demonstrated competence and conducts comprehensive patient assessments covering biophysical, psychosocial, and other needs. They are responsible for developing patient/family education plans, monitoring care delivered by team members, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible to practice as determined by the State Board of Nursing, with less than one year of experience as an RN. Required certifications include Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA, with future requirements for RN licensure depending on the state of work.
