The position provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients within a Family Practice Resident Clinic. This role involves assisting physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners by performing various patient care duties as delegated by a physician within a multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must qualify as either an LPN or a Medical Assistant. LPN candidates require graduation from a practical/vocational nursing program and a valid Arizona or compact state LPN license, along with BLS certification. MA candidates require a high school diploma, BLS certification, DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, and specific training/certification criteria met.

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.
Able to distinguish appropriate colors, ability to work above or below shoulder level, life to 50 pounds, and walk or be in feet 90% of the day. Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances
