The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating patient-centered care in the emergency department, ensuring desired outcomes through collaboration with healthcare team members. They must demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to care for the patient population served in the emergency department.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license in Texas. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of emergency department experience and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC.

Responsible for the provision and coordination of patient centered care in the emergency department. The RN coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice and performance in the clinical setting. The RN must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service to the population of patients served in the emergency department.
