Salary
$19 - $25 / HOUR
Counselors conduct client interviews and assessments to evaluate substance use disorder history and treatment response, recommending modifications to individualized treatment plans. They also provide didactic group counseling, individual counseling, and educational programs covering topics like relapse prevention and behavior modification.
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a helping profession and are preferred to have prior counseling experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment. Certification as required by the state must be obtained within 30 months of service commencement.
