Locum Cardiothoracic Surgery APP Coverage 45 Minutes from Seattle, Washington

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established inpatient program located just 45 minutes from Seattle, WA.

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS • Schedule

• Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call:
• Weekday call and 1:4 weekend call rotation
• Shift
• Types: Regular, Regular Call, 24-Hour Call, Gratis
• Shift
• Length: 8 hours
• Setting: Inpatient
• EMR: Epic

CLINICAL VOLUME • Daily Census

• Approximately 20 patients per day
• Weekly
• Case
• Volume:
• 6–8 cardiac (“hearts”) cases
• 9–12 thoracic cases

Responsibilities

• Pre- and post-operative patient evaluation and management
• OR first assist for cardiothoracic surgical cases
• ICU and step-down unit management
• Daily patient rounding
• Discharge planning and summaries
• Collaborative care with the cardiothoracic surgery team

• Support & team
• 5 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
• 4 Advanced Practice Providers
• Dedicated RN support staff

Requirements

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
