The Unit Secretary provides essential administrative and secretarial support to the assigned nursing unit, including managing communications, processing records, and assisting nursing staff with operational needs. Key duties involve screening calls, responding to patient needs, transcribing orders, and managing unit supplies.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and up to three months of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training. No specific licenses or certifications are required for this role.
Under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director, the Unit Secretary provides administrative and secretarial support and services that are consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of the Nursing department and CRHS. The Unit Secretary performs a variety of reception and clerical support duties relating to the operation of the assigned nursing unit and assists the nursing staff in the delivery of care as directed.
