The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will deliver medical care focusing on wound care and prevention, and ostomy services across all life cycles. Key duties include developing the Wound Care Program, providing direct clinical care in various settings, and educating staff on assessment and treatment guidelines.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field (MPAS, MHS, MM Sc, or Master’s in Nursing) and have two to four years of related experience. Required credentials include current state licensure as an RN, certification as a PA-C or NP, current BLS certification, and a valid driver's license.
Under the leadership of the Director, the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is an active member of the CRHS team that delivers medical care consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of CRHS. The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing care to patients throughout their life cycles (prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) while emphasizing wound care and prevention, and ostomy services. Acts as the clinical resource, educator, and consultant to the staff in the development and implementation of assessment and treatment using established procedures and guidelines, Recommends preventive measures, wound care products and adjunct therapy.
• Education:
Requires a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), Health Science (MHS), or Medical Science MM Sc) or
Requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing • Experience: Requires two to four years of work-related experience or any equivalent combination of education,
Requires and maintains current state license as a Registered Nurse.
Requires and maintains current state certification as a Physician Assistant –Certified (PA-C), or
Requires and maintains current state certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Maintains a current certification in Basic Life Support (If BLS verification is not current upon hire, it must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.)
Requires and maintains a current valid driver’s license and proof of minimum automobile insurance.
