The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal independence goals by providing coaching and guidance according to individualized care plans. Responsibilities also include supporting daily living activities, planning community engagement, assisting with personal care, and ensuring health and safety through monitoring and documentation.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license held for at least three years with a clean driving record, and must pass required Pennsylvania clearances. The role requires a compassionate, patient, and dependable personality, with no prior experience necessary as comprehensive paid training is provided.
