The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal independence goals by providing coaching and support according to individualized care plans. Responsibilities also include facilitating community engagement, assisting with daily living activities like personal care and meal preparation, and ensuring health and safety through monitoring and documentation.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license held for at least three years with a clean driving record, and must pass required PA clearances. The role requires a compassionate, patient, and dependable personality with flexibility for varied shift scheduling, though no prior experience is necessary as comprehensive paid training is provided.
