Caregivers will assist clients with essential daily needs such as bathing, personal hygiene, and mobility, alongside responsibilities like medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. They must also collect information regarding client conditions and report any unusual incidents to medical staff or family members.
Candidates must possess reliable transportation and current CPR certification from the American Heart Association, although previous caregiver experience is preferred but not mandatory. Essential qualities include respect, compassion, good bedside manner, physical endurance, and strong communication skills, along with knowledge of housekeeping and dietary constraints.
The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care, such as bathing, eating, and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in the comfort of member's home.
