About the role

This role involves performing various echo studies on patients across all age groups using ultrasound and other testing equipment to assess the heart. The sonographer must apply decision-making skills independently and collaboratively to ensure accurate diagnostic information and maintain department records.

This position will work Per Diem, Dayshift and will include weekdays, weekends and on call.

Job Summary

Supports, and is responsible for incorporating into job performance, the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.

Performs a variety of echo studies on infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, in assessment of the heart using ultrasound and other testing equipment. Applies decision making and testing skills both independently and in collaboration with others to ensure accurate information upon which to make a diagnosis; and works closely with physicians in the diagnosis of problems. Obtains patient history and maintains department records, performs routine maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, keeps herself/himself current with changes and advances in their field to maintain the lab standards and their current certifications.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Hourly range

$38.00 - $57.20

This Per Diem Echo Sonographer Opportunity will work Dayshift on an as needed basis. Monday - Friday and includes weekends and on call.

Requirements

Candidates must hold either an American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Adult (AE) or a Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCC) certification. A current CPR certification is also required for this position.
