The Certified Medication Aide/Tech is responsible for administering daily prescribed medications and treatments to residents according to regulations, ensuring proper documentation of administration, dosage, and any observed changes in condition. Duties also include assisting with meal service, monitoring residents for nutritional risks, and ensuring family-provided food complies with dietary orders and safety standards.
Candidates must be certified in the state of practice and successfully complete a State Approved and certified Medication Technician/Aide Nurse Aide Training and Competency evaluation program, appearing on the State Registry in good standing. Current BLS/CPR certification is also required for this role.
