The Certified Medication Aide/Tech is responsible for administering daily prescribed medications to residents according to regulations, ensuring correct dosage and timing are recorded on the resident's chart. Duties also include monitoring residents for changes in condition, documenting observations, and assisting with meal service and nutritional risk identification.
Candidates must be certified in the state of practice and have successfully completed a State Approved and certified Medication Technician/Aide Nurse Aide Training and Competency evaluation program, appearing on the State Registry in good standing. Current BLS/CPR certification is also required for this role.
