The role involves managing individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process principles of primary nursing according to hospital policies. Essential functions include assessing patient needs, developing realistic care plans in collaboration with patients, implementing medical and nursing interventions, and evaluating patient responses.
Candidates must manage patient care by assessing needs, developing and communicating care plans, and implementing the medical plan of care with necessary nursing interventions. Maintaining current knowledge, licensure, and demonstrating respect for patient dignity while ensuring accurate documentation are also required.
