About the role

The role involves independently evaluating patients, determining treatment strategies, and delivering or delegating services to remediate or prevent impairment to maximize function in activities of daily living, leisure, and productivity. This includes addressing dysfunctions in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components through various interventions.

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is opening May 2026! Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 36 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
