This role involves verbally reporting critical test results, investigating unusual test requests, and collecting blood specimens from various patient settings including inpatients and home-bound individuals. Key duties also include performing legal blood draws, urine drug collections, breath alcohol testing, and administering glucose tests as ordered by a physician.
Candidates must be a graduate of a medical assistant school or possess 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy training and specimen collection experience. Required qualifications include a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and BLS certification, which must be obtained within one month of hire.
