The role involves diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, assessing client mental health status, and formulating differential diagnoses for conditions ranging from mild to severe. Responsibilities also include collaborating with clients to create and implement individualized short-term and long-term treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree and maintain an active LISW or LPCC license, adhering to the Ohio State Counselor code of ethics and continuing education requirements. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with the adult population, is required.
