$21 - $27 / HOUR
The Certified Coder is responsible for data abstraction, evaluation, and auditing of provider-assigned CPT, HCPCS codes, and ICD-10 CM, specifically for obstetrics. Key duties include assigning and sequencing diagnoses and procedures according to official coding guidelines and analyzing and resolving charge entry coding errors.
Candidates must be a Certified AAPC Coder and possess an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Excel. Essential requirements include strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a high-volume environment, and a strong working knowledge of HIPAA as it relates to revenue cycle management.
