The role involves providing direct support to individuals and families in their homes or community settings based on specific needs, which includes driving to activities and documenting progress against support plans. Responsibilities also cover maintaining required paperwork, ensuring vehicle documentation is current, and assisting with light household cleaning tasks.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with a reliable vehicle, as driving within a 15-mile radius is required. A commitment to treating individuals with dignity and respect, along with an understanding of person-centered support, is essential, though prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
