About the role

Key responsibilities involve obtaining medical information, thoroughly entering data into the EMR, assisting providers during appointments, taking vitals, administering injections and vaccinations, and performing venipuncture and in-house lab processing. The role also requires maintaining compliance with regulations, cleaning, and stocking exam rooms.

Job Description

Our Family Health Center (OFHC) is a fast-paced, growing primary care practice looking for Certified Medical Assistants that possess a strong work ethic and are passionate about patient care. Our current expansion has created the need for additional team members to support our increasing patient demand.

Applicant should be

  • A Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
  • Skilled in patient triage and patient care,
  • Able to work an 8-hour shift between 8 AM and 6 PM,
  • Able to communicate professionally verbally and written,
  • Able to accept constructive direction well,
  • Adaptable to change,
  • Detail oriented and well organized,
  • Self-motivated,
  • Dependable and punctual, and
  • Eager to be part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

include:

  • Obtaining medical information from patient,
  • Thoroughly entering all medical information in EMR,
  • Assisting provider through patient appointment,
  • Taking patient vitals,
  • Administering injections and vaccinations,
  • Venipuncture,
  • Processing in-house labs and recording results for provider,
  • Remaining compliant with all OFHC, HIPAA and other government policies and regulations,
  • Cleaning exams rooms between patients,
  • Preparing and stocking exam rooms at the end of day, and
  • Other clinical duties as assigned.

Additional desired competencies

  • Scribe experience
  • Pediatric experience
  • eClinical Works EMR knowledge a plus

Aside from typical office visits, OFHC offers allergy testing, allergy treatment, onsite imaging, massage, sleep studies, weight loss management and vein procedures.
