The technologist performs the full range of diagnostic Ultrasound procedures under indirect supervision, assisting physicians with invasive biopsy procedures and accurately documenting and evaluating exam findings for the Radiologist. Responsibilities also include comprehensive patient explanation, operating imaging support equipment, maintaining room order, and performing high-level disinfection of probes.
Candidates must be registered and in good standing with the ARDMS, with preferred credentialing in physics and vascular or abdominal specialties, and maintain Basic Life Support certification. The role involves frequent physical demands, including lifting/carrying over 20 pounds regularly and standing/walking for at least five hours daily, with Category I occupational exposure risks.
Technologists must be registered and in good standing with the ARDMS with credentialing in physics, vascular and abdominal preferred.
Maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards.
