The Therapist position is focused on providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care for children, adolescents, and adults in the Clayton/Henry County area. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care.
Providing individual/family mental health skill building services
Timely documentation submission
Commitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clients.
Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
Participate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment team
Meet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standards
Travel is required within Clayton/Henry counties, as well as to neighboring counties located within an hour or less, to conduct in-person client sessions.

Requirements
Minimum of a Master’s degree in a psychology/social work/human services-related discipline
Must be at least license eligible
Fully licensed LPC, LCSW, LMFT preferred, but not required
Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)
State-mandated training: Relias, CPR/First Aid, CPI, CANS/ANSA (must be completed within the first 30 days of hire)
Knowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferred
Demonstrable knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis criteria
Willingness to learn new documentation and clinical skills
Receptivity to feedback/constructive criticism
Individuals who are prompt in communication, have collaborative personalities, and demonstrate a passion and knowledge for mental health and human services will be considered.
Pay Rate
$35.00 – $50.00 per hour
Note: $50.00 per hour applies for fully licensed therapists.
*Hourly pay based on licensure level and experience in community-based settings. (Georgia – Clayton/Henry County area)
Additional Information
Job Type: Part-time/ potential full-time, contractual position
Hours Requirement: Expected to maintain 25 billable hours per week and manage up to 13 clients
Location Requirement: Must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in-person services within Clayton/Henry County, GA. Travel to client homes and community locations as required, with willingness to commute up to 1 hour for client sessions.
Schedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served. With availability to provide services during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours. Be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the parent/guardian.
