The Medical Technologist I performs a wide array of tests in Biochemical Genetics using various equipment and adhering to quality control parameters. Key duties include monitoring and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies while ensuring all testing follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
A Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, basic sciences, or a related field is required, or must be completed within 90 days of application. Candidates must also have successful completion of an accredited clinical rotation or at least one year of clinical laboratory experience, and must be eligible for national certification (e.g., ASCP) within 12 months of employment.
Performs a broad range of tests involving Biochemical Genetics utilizing various equipment and quality control parameters. Monitors and maintains lab equipment and supplies; and other duties as assigned.
