The Advanced Care Provider evaluates, diagnoses, and treats diseases and adverse health conditions, formulating evidence-based care plans based on assessment and examination within their scope of practice. Responsibilities also include providing timely medical services at the Convenient Care Clinic, coordinating care with outside sources, and developing patient education programs.
Candidates must be a Certified Physician’s Assistant (P.A.-C), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), or Doctoral Nurse Practitioner (DNP), graduating from an accredited program. Required licenses include current, active, and unrestricted licensure in Iowa for PA-C or RN/ARNP, current prescriptive authority, DEA Registration, and current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
As an employee of Clarke County Hospital, you may be required to assist in response activities for disasters, emergencies and pandemics which may occur outside of normal working hours.
