The Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating events and programming for residents and family members, creating an environment of wellness and engagement. Responsibilities also include organizing volunteers, preparing activity assessments and progress notes, and implementing passive exercise programs.
The ideal candidate must be creative and possess excellent listening skills, along with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. A CNA certification is preferred, and candidates should have 2 years of experience in social or recreational programming in a healthcare setting, preferably working with residents with Dementia.
