The Nutritionist Associate independently determines nutrition eligibility for applicants/clients based on program guidelines and prescribes appropriate food packages. This role involves assessing nutritional status using techniques like VENA, setting dietary goals, providing individual patient counseling, and making referrals for high-risk cases.
require basic knowledge of nutrition standards, the ability to conduct interviews, interpret and document routine data, and experience providing patient education with good verbal and written communication skills. Experience in nutrition coursework or obtaining blood samples/finger sticks is preferred.

This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the WIC program for a year's period ending September 30, 2026. the availability of funding is scheduled for review annually and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.
