The primary function involves providing general medical care to patients at the student health center, including gathering medical history, measuring vital signs, and assisting clinicians with examinations. Duties also encompass administering treatments, medications, and injections within the scope of licensure, as well as performing miscellaneous tasks like managing supplies and coordinating referrals.
Candidates must possess at least one year of experience as a nurse in a clinical setting and hold a current Mississippi Registered Nurse license, along with a degree from an accredited nursing program. Preferred qualifications include additional experience, ACLS certification, college health nursing experience, office x-ray certification, or a BSN degree.
Provides general medical care to patients, within the scope of applicable licensure, as directed by clinicians of the John C. Longest Student Health Center.
Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.

Duties: and Responsibilities:
At least one year experience as a nurse in a clinical setting. Current Mississippi license as a Registered Nurse. Degree from an accredited nursing program.
1. Work experience above the minimum required performing related duties. 2. Certification in ACLS, college health nursing, or office x-ray. 3. BSN degree.
