The Physical Therapy Assistant will treat referred patients aged 18 through geriatric who require rehabilitation for specific diagnoses or conditions. This involves assisting in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation under the direction of a Physician and Physical Therapist.
include current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross, with online certification not being acceptable. Inpatient rehabilitation experience is desired.

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients’ capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist. Educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.
Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
