The role requires demonstrating knowledge of strict aseptic technique to ensure the safest and most optimal care for patients within the Operating Room. Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon with instrumentation and anticipating their needs while providing care tailored to adult, pediatric, and adolescent patients.
To demonstrate knowledge of strict aseptic technique to provide the safest most optimum care to each patient. To assure quality care of patient in the Operating Room. To assist the Surgeon with instrumentation and anticipate his/her needs. To provide care based on needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric and adolescents.
Reports To: Supervising Physician
Candidates must be licensed Registered Nurses with current Basic Life Support certification and documented completion of an RNFA education program. A minimum of three years of current RNFA operating room experience, along with demonstrated competence as both a scrub and circulating nurse, is required.
