The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents under physician direction, ensuring accuracy, safety, and proper documentation according to established standards. This role also involves fostering a positive environment and maintaining resident confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
Candidates must possess current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials through OSBN, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Fluency in English, knowledge of medical abbreviations, and an active CPR/BLS Certification are also mandatory requirements.
