The Direct Support Professional will provide direct assistance, guidance, mentoring, and teaching in daily living activities, personal care, life skills, and community integration to enhance the supported person's quality of life. Essential functions include providing direct support and supervision, administering medications after certification, completing required documentation, and maintaining household standards.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, and experience working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk/sit for up to 8 hours, possess a current Driver's License, and obtain/maintain certifications like Medication Administration, CPR/First Aid, and Mandt Systems.
