Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified RN Anesthetist (CRNA)-Woodhull.

Responsible for administering anesthesia under the supervision of the Attending Anesthesiologist, administering local, inhalation, intravenous and other anesthetics prescribed during surgery, deliveries or other medical procedures. Institutes resuscitative procedures throughout the hospital, including the recovery room and is available at all times while on duty.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance duties.
  • Attends in-service training programs, conferences and departmental meetings to keep abreast of current knowledge in anesthesiology and improve patient care.
  • Performs appropriate pre-anesthesia assessment and post-anesthesia evaluation and follow-up of the patient.
  • Performs invasive arterial/venous cannulations, and monitors vital functions. These include blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels and fluid volume.
  • Performs life support functions during the period in which anesthesia is administered, including induction and intubation procedures.
  • Administers general/regional and local anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures on an elective or emergency basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current NYS RN License required.
  • CRNA Certification or GRNA certificate with letter qualifying to sit for the national boards.
  • Advanced degree in Nursing required.
  • 4-5 years of similar experience required.
  • Must be comfortable working rotating shifts.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $122,500.00 - $161,514.38 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
