Our team at Momentum Spine and Joint is looking for a full-time Radiologic Technologist in Dallas, TX (75243)! The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for operating X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the Medical Director/Physician. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assures and preps all materials, radiographic and other required equipment, are present and in working order
Selects proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis
Positions patient, adjust equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by the physician
Adjusts and sets radiographic controls, such as kilovoltage and milliamperage, to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure
Protects patient and fellow staff from radiation hazards, takes preventative steps to minimize radiation exposure
Regulates the length and intensity of film exposure
Implements infection control procedures for the work area
Conducts x-ray, checks x-ray for clarity of image and retakes x-rays when needed
Distributes films to appropriate medical staff and transfer images to electronic medical records (EMR)
Maintains quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and facility policy
Performs radiographic procedures for patients in surgery
Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs needed
Maintains radiographic supplies, film, and equipment
Follows all safety rules on the job, corrects minor safety hazards, reports all accidents promptly, and communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace
Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
Adheres to the company standards of business conduct

Must have reliable transportation for traveling if necessary EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies
Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
One (1) year of radiology experience in a healthcare facility
