The Activity Assistant is responsible for enriching the lives of residents by creating a joyful and engaging environment through warmth, patience, and genuine care. This role involves developing and leading age-appropriate activities while closely cooperating with the care team to support residents holistically.
Candidates must demonstrate C.A.R.E. values (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, Excellence) and typically need a high school diploma or GED, along with related experience or training. Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training or CNA competency evaluation program is required, though this training may be provided by the community.
The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.
