This role utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, or vascular deficits, often involving unpredictable outcomes and complex multisystem health care deficits. The nurse will also direct patient care, handle multiple demands, and may assume unit leadership roles such as Charge Nurse or committee involvement.
Required experience includes a minimum of one year in cardiopulmonary nursing for telemetry units or two years in critical care nursing for critical care units, alongside graduation from an accredited nursing program. Applicants must possess an active NJ State Nursing License and BLS certification, with non-BSN nurses required to complete a BSN within five years of hire.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary/vascular health deficits, in whom outcomes may be unpredictable to perform comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention and/or evaluation of complex multisystem health care deficits; to direct the nursing care of unstable patients or patients requiring complex care management. Handles multiple demands and tasks simultaneously, demonstrating clinical problem solving skills. Is supported by the nurse manager, assistant nurse manager and charge nurse in assuming unit leadership roles including, but not limited to, serving as the Charge Nurse, committee leadership and/or involvement, conducting unit orientation and education; directs and guides the use of resources for patient care.
NJ State Nursing License; BLS certification required.

The minimum starting rate for this position is $53.00
