• Purpose: - The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The role requires a compassionate and dedicated professional who can effectively support the medical and emotional needs of patients in a behavioral health setting. This position is for Shift 1 and requires a minimum of 6 years of experience.
• Key
• Responsibilities: - Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner. - Monitor patient health by assessing vital signs and observing for any changes in condition. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. - Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance. - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. - Assist in emergency situations by providing appropriate nursing interventions. - Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in nursing care. - Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by adhering to established protocols and procedures. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• QualificationsRequired
• Education: - Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Required
• Experience: - Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health setting. - Proven experience in administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. - Experience in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
