Personal Assistants are responsible for providing quality daily care, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, and meal preparation, to ensure the health and safety of intellectually or developmentally disabled adults in a group home. Duties also involve assisting clients with their Individual Habilitation Plan goals, teaching self-care skills, understanding medication basics, and managing potential crisis situations.
Candidates must possess a high school degree or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Experience working with developmental disabilities is preferred, and the role requires a unique sensitivity to appropriately respond to clients facing difficulties.
