The Diagnostic Technician works closely with clinic physicians to perform basic, advanced, and complex diagnostic testing of the eye using specialized equipment. Responsibilities also include assisting with administrative tasks like triaging calls and administering topical ophthalmic medications.
A minimum of one year of experience in the Ophthalmic field is preferred, along with a High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework or an Associate's degree is preferred. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, be attentive, organized, proficient in EMR, and demonstrate commitment to ethical principles and confidentiality.
