The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide guidance and encouragement while building purposeful relationships with individuals, advocating for them in all aspects of life, including community engagement and essential living skills support. Responsibilities also include maintaining necessary documentation, performing record keeping, and participating in required meetings and training sessions.
Candidates must possess the desire to help individuals with disabilities achieve their goals through person-centered care, requiring no prior education or experience. Essential requirements include basic computer skills, English literacy, a valid driver's license with an acceptable record, and the ability to pass a DHS background check.
Upon completion of six months of consistent employment, there is an opportunity to obtain a wage increase up to $16.50/hour.
