The Nurse Practitioner will provide compassionate medical care, manage symptoms, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans for hospice patients. This role also involves prescribing medications, coordinating hospice services, and conducting face-to-face visits for eligibility and recertification.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program, preferably holding a Master's degree with at least one year of NP experience or one year of RN hospice experience. A minimum of one year of hospice or palliative care experience is preferred, along with current state licensure, DEA license (if applicable), and CPR certification.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program Master’s degree with a minimum of one year NP experience One year of NP experience or one year of RN hospice experience Minimum of one (1) year hospice or palliative care experience preferred Current nursing license in the state of practice Current DEA license (if applicable to state regulations) Current CPR certification Certification from an approved advanced practice nursing certifying body, as required by the state Nurse Practitioner Certification in Gerontology, Adult, or Family (preferred) Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills Strong problem-solving and mathematical skills Proficient in nursing skills as outlined in the competency checklist Demonstrated ability to counsel and communicate effectively with patients and families regarding end-of-life issues Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order About our Line of Business At Generations Hospice, our primary ambition is to bring first-class care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home.
