The coordinator acts as a patient advocate, responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying insurance, and assisting patients during check-in and check-out processes. This role also involves preparing clinic documents, entering patient data into the EMR, and providing general administrative office support.
A High School Diploma is required, though advanced education is preferred, and previous experience in a physician clinic setting is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
In the Patient Appointment Coordinator role, you will play a key role in the department, as you will be responsible for acting as a patient advocate at all times. This position schedules and confirms appointments, verifies patient insurance eligibility, assists patients upon check-in and check-out, prepares documents for clinic appointment, enters patient demographic and insurance data into electronic medical record and offers other administrative office support.
