The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering excellent patient care by assessing conditions, formulating nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes for mothers, babies, and gynecological patients. This role involves participating in quality assurance, cost-effectiveness, and maintaining professional standards of practice as defined by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
require one year of experience as an RN, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and an active Registered Nurse license in Texas, along with current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include one year of L&D unit experience and a Bachelor of Nursing degree, with NRP certification required within six months of hire.
Does admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition. Provides nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notifies doctor of changes in assessment that require attention.
Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care, patient/family teaching and the transition of care plan to include a safe appropriate level of care discharge. Works with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulates a plan of care and daily goals that takes into consideration the individualized needs of the patient.
Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to help reduce patient anxiety. Knows patients' conditions and reports significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader, and/or physician. Implements patient safety initiative and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, consult notifications.
One year experience as an RN Associates Degree in Nursing Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas BLS with skills demonstration NRP certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications: Three One (1) year of RN experience on a L&D unit Bachelors in Nursing Preferred
