The LPN-Expanded II provides patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, administers intravenous therapy, and collaborates with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities also include collecting patient data, assisting in care planning, and evaluating care plans.
Candidates must have the appropriate licensure and training for intravenous therapy as per state regulations. Experience requirements vary by state, with some requiring a minimum of six months.
Provides patient care as directed by the professional registered nurse and is accountable for own actions under this direction. Administers intravenous therapy according to state board of nursing rules, regulations, and position statements. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights. Performs other duties as assigned.
