Expected pay for this position is $39.13 - $51.21.

Base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity.

This is an hourly position.

$2.50 Weekend Differential $4,000 Sign On Bonus! OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.

Overview

Position Summary

Performs and records two-dimensional ultrasound diagnostic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional patient data. Completes patient intakes via collection of medical history and answers patient questions regarding imaging procedures. Confers with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required. X-RAY Experience is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound program
  • Licensure/
  • Certification:
  • Registered as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) OR Registered as a vascular technologist with the Cardiovascular Credentialing Institute (CCI) OR Registered as a Sonographer (ARRT(S)) or a Vascular Sonographer (ARRT(VS)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • One certification required (Abdomen – AB, Breast – BR, Fetal Echocardiography – FE, Obstetrics and Gynecology – OB/GYN, or Registered Vascular Technologist – RVT, Nuchal Translucency, Nasal Bone, MSKS, PS, or Cervical Length Education and Review (CLEAR) to be determined by OSF Entity need. Specific certification required is based on OSF entity need and must come from either ARDMS, CCI, NTQR or the Fetal Medicine Foundation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • Previous clinical experience to be able to independently perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, equipment operation, and to gain knowledge of patient care techniques. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Completion of an accredited ultrasound program and registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent certification is required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are necessary for this role.
