A Brief Overview Under supervision, the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists a Physical Therapist by administering patient treatment within the parameters of a specific treatment plan. The PTA participates in department and unit committees, including performance improvement activities and other duties and projects as assigned. May supervise PTA students.
