The physician will join an expanding Anesthesia team providing service across the Carle enterprise, including Level I Trauma, Open Heart, and Neurosurgical cases at Carle Foundation Hospital. The role primarily involves the medical-direction of CRNAs across a wide variety of cases, excluding transplants, burns, and pediatric hearts.
Candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified Anesthesiologists seeking to join a collegial team environment. The position offers significant vacation time and opportunities for academic or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine.
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join our expanding Anesthesia team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
11 weeks of vacation Join a collegial team of over 11 General Anesthesiologists, 2 Pediatric Anesthesiologists and 60+ CRNAs Call schedule of ~1:8 Carle Foundation Hospital is a Level I Trauma hospital with Open Heart (basic TEE skills with proctoring available), Trauma, and Neurosurgical cases and has 22 ORs running on blocks averaging 75 cases per day Provide service across Carle enterprise which includes Carle Foundation Hospital, Digestive Health Institute, Interventional Labs, OB, Radiology, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and our new 23,000 square foot Ambulatory Surgery Center Excellent benefits package: health/dental/life insurance, 403-B plan with employer match, 457 deferred compensation plan, LTD, relocation allowance, CME allowance, and paid malpractice insurance with tail insurance coverage Majority of cases are medical-direction of CRNAs Opportunity to oversee a wide variety of cases (excludes transplants, burns and pediatric hearts) Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering
